Launched in Spring 2008, Byron Bay based label Mimosa celebrates it's second year on the Australian market to glowing reviews from fashion buyers and the media.  The creation of GRAB Denim founder Amanda Gilham, Mimosa is the result of over 15 years of in-depth fashion industry knowledge and experience.  With it's strong reputation for impeccable designs and attention to detail, Mimosa has captured the attention of department store David Jones, with the label launching in stores from Spring 2009.  Mimosa is a perfect for the exclusive David Jones customer, who have fallen in love with the label's unique take on occasional dressing.

After moving to Hong Kong in 2005, Amanda has had the luxury of working with the best fabric mills in South East Asia, particularly Korea and Japan. Mimosa was conceived out of this experience of an affordable designer range with unique exclusive prints and fabrics normally reserved for expensive high end labels.  From the first design sketches, Amanda had the  David Jones customer in mind.  That vision has now become a reality.

With the Hong Kong office well established, Amanda returned to Australia with her family in January 2009 and set up the Mimosa Design Studio in Byron Bay.

Since the official launch in Spring 2008, Mimosa has received over 350 editorial placements and is now available in boutiques around Australia, New Zealand, UK and Asia - as well as on the Mimosa online store to anywhere in the world.
